Full-Time Orthodontic Assistant

Eberle Orthodontics is looking for an Orthodontic Assistant to join our amazing team! We’re excited to welcome the right candidate to our state-of-the-art office and into the Eberle Orthodontics family.

Who we are: At Eberle Orthodontics, Dr. Eberle and our team pride ourselves on creating a personalized experience for our patients, where everyone is known by name. The small and friendly atmosphere allows for a close-knit community feel, emphasizing a comfortable and welcoming setting for orthodontic treatment.

What we are looking for: Our ideal candidate is a fun, caring, dependable, detail-oriented and compassionate individual who is a team player. Prior experience in orthodontics or dentistry is appreciated but not required, as we believe you can teach skills but not personality—we are happy to train a candidate with the right attitude!

Duties: Duties of the Orthodontic Assistant position may include:

Patient Preparation:

Greeting and escorting patients to the treatment area
Taking and recording patients’ medical and dental histories
Assisting patients in getting comfortable in the chair

Chairside Assistance:

Sterilizing and preparing dental instruments and equipment
Handing instruments and materials to the orthodontist during procedures
Holding mirrors or retractors to provide a clear view for the orthodontist

X-Rays and Impressions:

Taking and developing dental radiographs (X-rays) as instructed by the orthodontist
Conducting dental impressions

Orthodontic Appliance Maintenance:

Assisting with the placement and removal of orthodontic appliances (braces, bands, wires, retainers, etc.)
Adjusting orthodontic appliances under the direction of the orthodontist
Educating patients on proper oral hygiene and care of orthodontic appliances
